How To Measure - Inside Mount
Width: Measuring the top, middle and bottom width of your opening. Choose the narrowest width measurement and deduct 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch. Enter that width for ordering your cell shade. This ensures your shade will be able to travel freely from top to bottom. Note: MSX does NOT make automatic deductions for inside mount.
Height: Measure the height of your opening on the left, middle, and right. Choose the longest measurement and enter that for your cell shade.
How To Measure - Outside Mount
Width: Measure the width of your opening, then add to that width for good coverage. Most add 5 inches for a 2 1/2 inch hang over on both sides. Enter that measurement for your cell shades width.
Height: Measure the height of your opening, then add for the height of your hardware above the opening, and for your fabric to pass below the opening. Adding 8" inches to your height is safe for all systems. Height Note: You can easily stop your cell shade wherever you want, but you cannot make it longer.
